agree with some of the comments here that over 100 it doesn’t really get harder… I haven’t had more than 14 on the screen at once…
    aiming for 500 now

  5. Current high score – 174
    Average 68

  6. My score is 857. After 100 I think the difficulty is same and you need concentration and perhaps a little bit luck. This is an addictive game!

  14. I just hit 707…

  15. My high score is 470!! Proof is available!!

  16. btw.. i dont believe gabi that he made 500 unless i see a screenshot !!!

  17. Hey, just defeated my last high score… its 269 now !!!

  18. what do u mean by this ??

“You can land airplanes heading the wrong way on the runway if you do an abrupt U-turn at the front of the runway. All you need to make sure you do is cross the lines at the front of the runway.”

  19. [...] Flight Control High Score, Tips & Tricks Flight Control is an Awesome game and I am surely not getting bored with it. The reason why I decided to write this [...] [...]

  20. I only have 453. Mostly i hit the 200 and get quite far. Just haven’t passed my 453 yet.

  21. All readers who claim to have crossed 500 score Please send us a screenshot at touchreviews@gmail.com

This step is being taken to moderate scores posted. We have readers who claim to have crossed 1000 but gave invalid email address. Such comments will not be Approved!

  22. My current stats:
    High Score: 260
    Average: 68
    Most aircraft on screen: 14
    Total aircraft landed: 13,091

My roommate got me into this game. We are both really competitive so we have been going back and forth w/our high scores. He is currently at 325 and we always take screenshots to prove each other wrong…This game is really addictive

    Some tips:
    1. Stay away from the edges of the screen.
    2. You can land airplanes heading the wrong way on the runway if you do an abrupt U-turn at the front of the runway. All you need to make sure you do is cross the lines at the front of the runway.
    3. Land the faster jets if possible.
    4. Take direct lines when landing. Take the shortest routes!
    5. Take advantage of the fact that planes can stop and turn on a dime.
    6. You do not need to come into the runway head on, come from the sides and backwards.
    7. Land all aircraft as quickly as possible.
    8. Don’t be afraid to anticipate that an airplane will land. You have to take chances, and understand how close the aircraft can get to one another in order to be successful.
    9. Create landing patterns. Make all aircraft fly the same pattern if coming from the same side of the screen. Don’t be afraid to change the direction more than once.
    10. Create landing orders.
*Have larger jets land one after the other. Then all the small jets.
*Or if the time calls for it and if you are skilled and have the timing, land a large jet then small jet, and continue that pattern.
*Also land aircraft simultaneously from both directions on the runway. Land one coming up the runway followed by an airplane coming down the runway.
ALL OF THESE PATTERN WORK WELL IF YOU CAN PULL THEM OFF.

THE BEST TIP MY ROOMMATE AND I HAVE IS STAY ORGANIZED. I HONESTLY BELIEVE THIS GAME IS ALL ABOUT ORGANIZATION.

  23. I think all these 100+ score claimers are fake! Until I see a screenshot (which is easy to do on the Iphone) I will not believe it!

  24. I’m amazed at the scores reported here. I was feeling that things got just too crazy at the mid forties (my high is 46). At that point I continually lost all ability to sequence the planes.

Maybe it’s time to redouble my efforts. I have a 14 hour flight to Hong Kong on Sunday. I know what I’m doing on that trip. And, no, I’m not the pilot.

  25. 217!!! I feel liberated!!!!

  26. 213 so far, but best is yet to come!! lol

  27. 245!!

  28. Finally exceeded 200…224! What a rush :)

  29. Holy trout I thought my 182 was high but looks like I’m just a kiddy! Drat!

  30. Yeah! Got 780 as well! Crashed 3 at the same time

  31. 780 Today. yeaj, i’ve had 20 planes on screen at the same time.

  32. I just got 626 today! Not quite David’s score, but I’m pretty pleased. I imagine we’ll be seeing people with a couple thousand soon, because as stated, the difficulty doesn’t increase after 200.

I am wondering if anyone’s had more than 13 on screen at a time, because I hit that number the first day (when my high scores were in the 30s and 40s), and it’s never raised since.

  33. Have you used multitouch, yes!! it is posible to give directions to more than 1 plane at a time

  34. I agree with that! I’m still at 377 but having a hard time reaching over 200 again.

  35. I scored 744 yesterday. Once you are able to break the 200 mark it doesn’t get any more difficult.

  36. 48 and happy with that. I’m getting too addicted to this game!!!!

  37. I play with the iphone horizontaly as if i was making a txt or something i find it easier dat, need to break the magic 300 barrier, highest score 286

  38. I have this awesome game on my ipod touch and iphone. My ipod touch has a anti-glare screen film on it, and it makes it a much easier surface to run your finger along. My high score on my ipod is 154 and only 92 on my iphone. Could the screen protector make that much of a difference? You decide!

  39. 238 who did a better score

  40. Real Air Traffic Controller from Houston here. My high is 143. Fun game. Actually utilizes real ATC skills such as determining which aircraft is closer to a specific point, recognizing overtakes, and sequencing.

I was getting a complex, though, at first. My high was around 50, and my 8 year old son scored somewhere in the 40′s. At that point I kicked it into high gear and showed my son who was boss!

  41. Nice hint on that 90 degree double-landing. Will have to try that out!

    ————————————————————-

Only 134 so far (54 avg) after a couple of days of play, but I have noticed a few things – in general, minimizing maintenance seems to help.

    1. In your flight lanes, don’t mix your planes – if you have to, have the slowest bring up the rear (jet behind jumbo)

    2. Knowing when to cut across a flight line is important – I used to cut behind only, but you can often use a fast plane to cut in front of a slower lane.

    3. Playing tight seems to help – that means flying into the current position of a plane (anticipating that it will be gone by the time you get there).

    4. (not sure about this one, but seems to work so far) – when deciding right of way – give it to the smaller plane. Larger planes are more maneuverable. The exception is when you have a bunch of jumbo jets coming up – better to land them in a row (get them out of the way) and land the single regular jet later.

    5. Good lanes to work are parallel to the runways and in the segments of the runway beyond the landing area – there tends to be slightly less traffic there.

    6. Slightly risky play – send all planes to their designated runways and sort-out potential crashes later. Usually, just jiggling one plane back and then forward again will give you extra spacing.

    7. Consider overflying the runway and looping back tightly to generate extra spacing or to take advantage of a “cutting early opportunity”. Remember, you want to cut early to minimize maintenance.

    8. There seems to be a hard-spot around 50 and then around 80 or so – if I break these points, I seem to clear 100-110.

    - Ken

  42. Great game, Great tips!

One I’ve not seen here yet works well for me is to set up ‘flight lanes’ when possible.

Choppers flying from left fly north of the long runway
Med Jets directed to fly west on approach, south of the long runway
Heavy Jets circle ON the long runway until other traffic clears…that’s a safe spot that isn’t normally used.

    – Brad

  43. wow… what a wicked game

    respect

    montego bay, jamaica

  44. 377….

  45. 326 !!!

  46. Guys, I got addicted to Flight Control.

I downloaded it 5 hours ago and my High Score is 45. *proud* :-)

  47. Scored 199 but never played with sound as I have a touch.
Great tip is you can almost land two planes at once on the main runway by bringing one in from the right hand side. You have to do a very sharp u turn at where the runway cross lines end.

oh and don’t miss a landing, if you have to touch and go you may get out of the sequence with too many planes ending up on the screen.

    cheers

    Dave

  48. Got 178 now

  49. …just pushed 189 in…

  50. My highscore is 160… have to admit i am an air traffic controller in real life and we like playing the game in the breaks…. highly adictive!

  51. Flight control seems like a very fun game

  52. I hate addictions. But now I’ve found one: Flight Control
    My high score: 149

Row mentioned some usefull tips. Especially the one about the edges.
    Stay away from the edges!
And get rid of those large fast planes by landing those first as much as possible.
